Power Rangers

[Stratadrake]

Let's see, the years of power rangers I can think of are:

Mighty Morphing Power Rangers (various years and zords)
- First set of zords had a sort of Voltron vibe to them...
- The second set of zords ("Thunder" zords) had a Japanese/samurai theme to them
- The third set of zords ("Ninja" zords) was the same as featured in the Power Rangers movie (only simpler for budget reasons)

Power Rangers Zeo
- Tommy takes the lead. Billy hangs around as a non-ranger, but ultimately leaves the series.
- Original Red Ranger, Jason, is called back to be the Sixth Ranger (Gold).
- Zed and Rita are forced into hiding, but guest-star in a few episodes later on.
- Goldar and Rito hang around for awhile (with Bulk & Skull, in fact)
- In one episode, a monster hijacks their Super Megazord.

Power Rangers Turbo
- Hmm, dunno. Never really watched it.

Power Rangers in Space
- Last time you see Zordon.
- The "Psycho Rangers" series of episodes were the best.

Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy
- Introduced the Red Ranger "Battleizer" mode.
- Last time you see Alpha and Bulk. Skull appears in a few episodes throughout this series though.
- The Space Rangers and Psycho Rangers alike guest-starred in a few episodes, those were awesome. Did you know they actually KILLED the Pink Ranger? Okay so Karone (aka Astronoma) replaced her, but still....
- Zack, original Black Ranger, guest-stars in one episode (complete with morpher).

Power Rangers: Time Force
- Don't remember too much of this one. Had a nice CG dragon in one episode though.

Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue
- The ranger team acquires 4 different Megazords (Rescue, Rescue-Train, Omega, Life-Force) throughout the series. In the final episodes, the demon army hijacks two of the megazords and uses one of them to attack the underwater base.

Power Rangers: Wild Force
- I loved their extremely modular/interchangeable zord component system in this series. In one episode (before acquiring the green stag zord) they literally had to piece together a megazord using whatever zords ewren't too damaged to fight....
- Although, there was something really weird about their finishing moves having a 'sports' theme (Megazord soccer kick / bowling strike, and the Lunar Wolf ranger's pool-shot attack)
- Had one episode "Forever Red" guest-starring the Red Rangers from EVERY series beforehand. (Whoa )

Power Rangers: Ninja Storm
- Started with only 3 rangers instead of the typical five -- the other two rangers (Navy/Crimson) started out on the evil side of things.

Power Rangers: Dino Thunder
- Seems like a tribute to the original Power Rangers series. Tommy's back, and they all have dinosaur-based zords.
- One early episode literally chronicles all the previous Rangers series.
- In another episode, the rangers tune in on satellite TV to a japanese version of Power Rangers: Dino Thunder. Hilarity ensues.
- Also starts with only 3 rangers instead of five.
- There is NO "Sixth Ranger" -- 5 rangers, that's all.
- Had two episodes featuring the Ninja Storm rangers.
- I do believe in one epiode you can see the original Ranger HQ in the background scenery during one of the fights.

Power Rangers: SPD
- New. *yawn*

they should at least take the production money from their half-assed franchize and re-make the first season into a videogame. at least the first season didn't suck. :/

Actually, they already did. There was a Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers game for the SNES (a side-scrolling beat-em-up with a hidden 2P vs. mode based on the final megazord battles), for the Sega Genesis (a tournament-fighting game based on the first year of the first series), and there was also an SNES game based on Poewr Rangers The Movie (a 2P co-op sidescrolling beat-em-up) .

It's because of the explosion's shockwave, silly. If the energy blast/whatever actually HIT them, they'd probably wind up dead on the spot
