Or free running. Call it whatever the hell you want. In my book, it's the same.

Anyway...Parkour originated in France, and basically it is this (in a nutshell): You get a map of a place near your house or near somewhere, and pick two destinations. You draw a straight line from point A to point B. Now, you have to take that straight line and every obstacle involved with it. Along the way, it becomes artistic...fluid. It's running except it looks incredible.

I tried doing it for a while. Tried being the operative word here. Nevertheless, I find it a beautiful and amazing sport.

Anyone heard of it? _________________ What does it all MEAN? |

 Only feasible in rural places.

if you try it in a city, it would be a suicide. _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

I dunno. Rural has more obstacles next to grass, but urban has harder, more interesting obstacles next to...cement.

I love it all the same.

Have you done it, Brian? _________________ What does it all MEAN? |

 | There's a new sport coming out that involves running and drinking at the same time. I can't remember what it's called, but it sounds like a lot of fun. |

 | I just watched a movie that has some great demonstrations of parkour. It's pretty amazing stuff. The movie is called District 13, very good action movie. |

Excuse me for reviving an outdated topic, but I'm currently experimenting in the bowels of Parkour with a couple of friends. It's great fun, but it hurts if you try to kong vault over a picnic table and your feet get caught on the bench and you end up falling forward on your face.
