Worst villain in anime history

In your mind, who would you say would be the meanest, nastiest, most powerful anime villain of them all?

There's no doubt in my mind that my pick would be Giovanni from [i]Pokemon[/i]. The cruel and sadistic leader of Team Rocket always has a plan to bring planet Earth to its knees. He's just as rich and powerful as his face is always scary. I'm not going to lie... Team Rocket's goal is to make the entire Pokemon continent suffer.

...If not Oro, I say Light Yagami from Death Note. YES, HE COUNTS AS A VILLAIN! I'll cut this post off now before I start ranting about how horrible Raito really is...

hm.....My guess would probably be a tie between Suitengu from Speed Grapher, or Darrius from Wolf's Rain.

Tetsuo of Akira sprang to mind, after a minute's thought. Well, technically, he's not an actual villain, but he does nasty stuff in the film. He goes on this power trip or something and wants to find this thing called Akira who is to do with some exprerement, or something. In a way, I feel sorry for Tetsuo as he didn't want anything to do with what he went through in the anime. Look it up on Wikipedia if interested.

For me it's orochimaru! I HATE HIM AT TIMES but... I LOVE IT BECUZ HE CREEPS ME OUT XD!!! But I also hate him becuz he NEVER DIES! Well to me, the worst villains are the ones who hate the world for what it is.
so to me the worst villain is either sepiroth from FFVII or creed from Black Cat.

Lol in the manga his charater grows on you much much, more. He's more power hungry than anything else

A lot of villains don't really do much for me. Just another, "Oh, hey, he wants to destroy/corrupt/enslave/etc. the world. Yawn."

I've yet to encounter a villain batshit enough to creep me out or make me REALLY want to cheer for the heroes, although I suppose manga-verse Kimblee from FMA is shaping up to be pretty creepy. MakubeX from Get Backers had some pretty big "WTF" factors while he lasted.
