The new album. It's not bad. The man still has it in him, sounds good as ever if you ask me. And it's still got that old sound to it. They aren't trying to reinvent themselves like so many do.
I like the siiner in me. And the single precious, what can i say, one of those things thats addicting i guess. Over all, the album seems pretty good to me. who knows i might even by it. Now that's a rarity. |

You've never heard of Depeche Mode?
Sad.
I've never been a fan, but I'll probably check it out out of curiosity. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Lasher doesn't buy CDs.
But for a bonus DVD, she should. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

You know me so well! Will you marry me? At least let me slap you around a bit like a bitch. Or maybe you'd prefer to do the slapping
Yes, Lasher does not by cd's indeed. The last one i bought was NIN's new one this year. And it was the first one i bought in 9 years I tend to not like enough songs on the cds so they're a waste. And i have a radio to listen to when driving soooooo.
Perhaps though, but 99% likely that i will not buy it or another one for a long time. I did however by two songs from their new album from the iTunes online store along with a few other songs i heard and liked (none depeche mode)

Sweet. Didn't think I'd find a discussion about DM here. Yeah, the new album is pretty sweet. A little on the short side though. And a few tracks are just so-so... but overall it's worth buying (for the folks that buy cds). The techno/music aspect is really good... but I think the lyrical content gets dry on at least two tracks. I got the one with the DVD... only because that's the only version they had left. And the DVD is just OK. They talk about making the album, and there is the Precious video. Which I wanna say is cool, but it's really kindof odd for a DM video.
But my biggest gripe of all is they're not coming to my town on this tour! Damn. |

I'm inlove with the song damaged people.
"We're damaged people
drawn together
By subtleties that we are not aware of
Disturbed souls,
praying out forever.
These games we once thought we would be scared of...
When your in my arms,
the world makes sense.
There is no pretend,
and your crying.
When your by my side,
there is no defense.
I forget to sense,
i'm dying.
We're damaged people.
Praying for something,
that doesn't come from somewhere deep inside us.
Depraved souls,
trusting in the one thing,
the one thing that this life has not denied us.
When i feel the warmth,
of your very soul,
i forget i'm cold and crying.
When your lips touch mine,
and i lose control,
i forget i'm old and dying."
I'm going ot replay it until i kill the damn song |

Why is it they make references to 16 year olds? Like the songs little sixteen and It's a question of time. I think someone has a fetish |

You've never heard them? Now will, i know you've heard them once, whether you realize it or not. One of their biggest songs was "personal jesus" You know, before M.Manson went and redid it last year. I like MM, but no one does it like DM.
I would try and tell you what they sound like, but i can't. I've been listening to nothing but DM the past month and all the songs seem different one way or another to me. You should download a few sometime if you can.
Personal Jesus
John the Revelator
Enjoy the Silence
Damaged People
Waiting for the Night
I think those are all different in their own ways but meh. Try and get ahold of one of their cd's sometime.
For now, i'll go back to repeating the f**k out 7-8 of their songs once more  Even though i don't find that man attractive, i'd kiss him just because i love his voice. It's beautiful and makes me want him. |

Now you know why I like Brian Molko so much.
And on a related note, Placebo has a fabulous cover of DM's "I Feel You". In classic Placebo/Brian style, of course, so it's not to everyone's taste. Dunno if you've downloaded it before, it's only on the foreign releases as a bonus disc of covers.
But....yeah.

Riiiiiiight.
My friend paid $60 to import that stupid CD. And gave me a copy 'cause there's no way I was gonna pay that. <3 And a bunch of demos.
I think my roommate has some DM. Gonna go look... _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I love Placebo, they did some great stuff with David Bowie as well *loves Bowie more than placebo+depeche mode* Have you ever hears Rammsteins cover of Stripped? they left out most of the words so it just sounds like a perverse song about getting naked lol. |

Yeah. Without You I'm Nothing is tops. As is their performance of 20th Century Boy with him.
My roommate has no Depeche Mode. Maybe the college library does... _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
