Or free running. Call it whatever the hell you want. In my book, it's the same.

Anyway...Parkour originated in France, and basically it is this (in a nutshell): You get a map of a place near your house or near somewhere, and pick two destinations. You draw a straight line from point A to point B. Now, you have to take that straight line and every obstacle involved with it. Along the way, it becomes artistic...fluid. It's running except it looks incredible.

I tried doing it for a while. Tried being the operative word here. Nevertheless, I find it a beautiful and amazing sport.

Anyone heard of it?

Only feasible in rural places.

if you try it in a city, it would be a suicide.

I dunno. Rural has more obstacles next to grass, but urban has harder, more interesting obstacles next to...cement.

I love it all the same.

Have you done it, Brian?

There's a new sport coming out that involves running and drinking at the same time. I can't remember what it's called, but it sounds like a lot of fun.

I just watched a movie that has some great demonstrations of parkour. It's pretty amazing stuff. The movie is called District 13, very good action movie.

Excuse me for reviving an outdated topic, but I'm currently experimenting in the bowels of Parkour with a couple of friends. It's great fun, but it hurts if you try to kong vault over a picnic table and your feet get caught on the bench and you end up falling forward on your face.

The sidewalk was an asshole.
