Woohoo. First(?) View On A Pic!

I gotta admit that when viewing most pictures on FAC I tend to mostly lurk and not comment anymore, for many of the same reasons we've all explained elsewhere. So anyway, while taking a lurk through the Most Recent Thumbnails last night, I spotted this.

It isn't really a [i]problem[/i] -- to the contrary, it gave me a good chuckle. I wonder how it happened?

The only thing I could think of was that maybe you weren't logged in, and it only counts views from members?

You [could've] been the first. That has happened to me before but when I refreshed, it went to 1.

The picture view count is incremented after the view for performance reasons.

Ahh, that explains it. Of course then the true # of views is [i]=count+1[/i] . . . but in the meantime I guess it means that if somebody "does first view dance" because the # of views is 1, we can kindly inform them that they are [i]not[/i] truly the first person to view it Rolling eyes

They'd still be the first to comment. Unless that first view person hit send as the second person was viewing the page...or they're just really stupid and don't see the first comment.

Now that's just excessive. The only purpose a "first comment dance" serves is to kiss a popular artist's ass. Anyone really excited about having the first comment on something that gets a total of two? What honor. Rolling eyes
