I'd probably have like.. Tool - Schism or.. Cradle Of Filth - Born In A Burial Gown
Maybe something Queen. Bohemian Rhapsody is too clich.. maybe We Are The Champions?
Duno.. Haven't though that much about it....
Interesting topic though
-Gray-
I'd like to hear other's suggestions on it though..
Apparently Robbie William's Angels is the most requested for funerals.. that ain't my style though so yeh know.... something more upbeat probably |

Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name"
And now you do what they told ya
(Now you're under control)
AND NOW YOU'RE UNDER CONTROL
Those who die are justified
By living a life in the chosen white
You justify those that die
By living a life in the chosen white
COME ON
f**k you I won't do what you tell me(repeat 12 times)
MOTHERFUCKER
YEAH

Bwahaha, every power ballad known to man...what torture...
"The Last Song" by Poison makes a very good funeral song.
WARNING: 80s power ballad cheese ahead! 'Cept it was written in 2000. Ah well.
If this were my last breath
Or my last day
My last chance
This is what I'd say
I thank you for the laughter
Sorry for the tears
S'time to say goodbye- I say goodbye
After all these years
CHORUS
Ahhh how very lame. Yes. Maybe "Life Goes On". I could really care less as long as it was a good song. Just play Appetite For Destruction throughout the whole thing n' I'm happy. Big flowery funerals...bah. I don't have enough friends n' family for that. "Don't Close Your Eyes" is another good one. Anti-suicide song, whatever. I just like the tune. I could make a huge list of sad power ballads. "Miles Away" by Winger. Actually that one would probably make everyone there feel guilty. "Just when I needed you most, you were miles away" But it's still catchy as hell. (click to hear it )

Oh, did I mention that I would very much like to have my first guitar buried with me?
Should it remain intact or not.
I would also use "Paradise City", because if I do my work right, that's exactly where I'm headed.
And "Knockin' On Heaven's Door". _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

Which version (like I need to ask)? Knockin's been covered 8 billion times... and most of them suck.
"For The Love of Money" - Bulletboys.
Probably how I'll die. Money money money mo--ney... Actually it's just what I'm listening to right now, but it works.
Oh! Oh! Tied To the Bells by TUFF!
"So tell me Joey where you shackled in sin?
Were you screaming Hail Mary when she let you in?
What can I do? What will it take?
To be tied up in the Rosary and feel the heavens shake
Chorus:
She likes it, Tied to the Bells
Such a sweet, sweet addiction when she's under that spell
Tied to the Bells
She may have lost her religion but it's all the way to heaven with you"
There aren't enough sex songs at funerals. Oh, and here's Don't Close Your Eyes by KIX that I forgot to link, but most people have probably heard it before. Great great song. Anti-suicide song done right, unlike that piece of shit Good Charlotte or whomever did. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Either the original by Dylan, or the cover by Guns N' Roses.
I would also use "The Man Who Sold the World" by David Bowie. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

Didn't Avril Lavigne do a good version of Knockin' On Heaven's Door and it was good? That's what I heard....

No way it was good. If she did one. I know she has a song called "Nobody's Fool"...which Cinderella wrote a song called that over ten years ago, bitch. And it didn't suck. *goes to look for the Avril cover*
Shitty pop stars shouldn't be allowed to cover good songs. Stick to your pro-songwriters' bubblegum, thank you. <_< _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

If she did, I'll do a parody called "Knockin' On Her Bedroom Door"
I'm knock knock knockin' on her bedroom door...
Heard her moaning like that before....
Knock knock knockin' on her bedroom door..
Moaning like a nickel an hour cheap whore...
And go ahead and try me.
"Beautiful World"-Rage Against the Machine
This one is one of the softest RATM songs you will have ever heard. It's an acoustic. A first.
And it's a cover of Devo.
But it actually sounds good. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

She did. I dunno if I even want to try to find it to listen to. Listenin' to "In a Darkened Room" by Skid Row, and Baz can actually sing. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Ok, after downloading it... her version makes the baby jesus cry. First of all, the band is horrid. What the hell did they do to the song?! It's all some acoustic strumming in the background and her whiny, cracking "ooooooh...yeah yeah...". Is it only me who's annoyed by the way she says "yeah" in songs? "Eeeah"? Her voice completely kills the song. She sounds bored. The chorus is painful. And I hate the way she phrases it. She either "chose" not to or isn't capable of the tiny little 3 note run for "door". She could've at least hit a better note; all her lines sound incomplete. Not that she should phrase it as Axl's "Dowa-a". One of the worst covers I've heard yet. Bleh. Very boring. Nothing interesting about it at all. Sounds like she's drugged.
Find some new songs to cover, people. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

My band will cover these songs, most likely:
"Wake Up"-Rage Against the Machine
"Knockin' On Heaven's Door"-Guns N' Roses(sorry there)
"Smells Like Teen Spirit"-Nirvana(I'll give it a better solo)
"Black Dog"-Led Zeppelin
Plus our tributes:
"Born of Guns and Roses"
"State of Nirvana"
And one slower acoustic peice. I've been working on it.
That one might be good. I'll send either one of you a sample should Fallen get on AIM anytime soon and I get it done. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

Well, if I composed my own, I'd probably make one called "Home Again".
Makes sense for a funeral, no?
Maybe Audioslave's "Show Me How To Live".
Or Van Halen's "Running With the Devil". _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

How about, 'Another One Bites the Dust'?
Know what, I've never actually thought about it... I don't plan to have a funeral any time soon, but hey... you never know... it's good to know these things... |

I always plan. Ya never know when you're gonna die. If I did, I'd make it so kick ass.......
*while jumping from the Empire State*
BUSH FUCKED BLAIR IN THE AAASSSSsssssssssssssssss...................
Oh, and I think I'll use Rage Against the Machine's "Ashes In The Fall".
Like the preists that f**k you as they whisper holy things...
This is the new sound
Just like the old sound
Just like the noose wound

Got your death all planned out, too?? *pats you on the back* good job... I wouldn't go that far...
Well, I was just listening to some music, and I found a song that might be good... Counting Crows - Round Here... I think it would work... Hmm... |

I sort of do. I'll join the Navy or Marines. Go to college to become an NCIS agent, and die doing my duty to this country.
Or I'll die of old age.
Or by a falling guitar.
But, back on topic.....
