Slayers Try, Next...the Original...whatever!

As for me, I like the Try series...the Dragon Slave series with Naga in it..well, let's just say that she annoys the hell out of me...I can't stand her laugh...plus, I have the japanese version, so, yeah...her laugh annoys me to no end..

Lina Inverse
Xellos
Zelgadiss

Does anyone else think that Gourry kinda resembles Trunks(DBZ) in a way? Or at least resembles Kenshin?

I like the TV series but I think the original Books (and even the manga) is soo much better. You wouldn't believe how much is changed. Anywho, I think Gourry kinda looks like a taller Cloud from Final Fantasy 7. Must be all the odd hair spikes.

The original illustrator for Slayers, Rui Araizumi, is one of my favorite artist and my avatar which shows Zelgadiss is part of a picture by him.

Hm..yeah, I guess Gourry DOES resemble Cloud in a way...
Zelgadiss happens to be my second favorite character...Xellos is my first favorite, cause of his catchy little phrase: "Sore wa himistu desu!" I love that! He's so funny., which is why I have my signature after him. ^_^ By the way, I like the pic..where'd you find it??

I've loved Slayers for a very long time, it's allways been one of my favorites. My favorite characters are Valgaav, Martina, and Gourry. Heh, I like wierd ones XD Naga amuses me greatly as well. And the Dark Lords of the Slayers worl are pretty cool too.

Gourry= Tall blonde happy-go-lucky idiotic (but cute in a little brother sort of way) swordsman who looks hot in a dress

Trunks= Shortish purple-haired angsty intelligent fighter who never wore a dress but would never look as hot as Gourry in one

Kenshin is a better comparison. I imagine Kenny-boy could pully off wearing a pretty dress nicely. Their personalities seem a bit similar at first too, but Kenshin just puts on a ditzy act, he's really quite smart, where Gourry really is that stupid.

I scanned it from one of muh books. If you can't read Japanese, do not worry. Tokyo Pop is translating them and the first one (out of 15) should be at where ever they sell these things now.

Aw, sweet. I'm saving the money I get from my paycheck at Burger King, and I'm gonna get all of the Slayers books when they come out..you know, instead of just buying one at a time and waiting around for the others...lol
