What are all the reasons you can get banned for?

I know a couple of them, but there seems to be plenty, so if anyone could tell me I would like that.

Seriously? Official reasons include:

- "Art theft" or other submission policy violations
- Harassment, flaming other members
- Spamming or disruption
- Trolling or sockpuppet accounts

Umm... does that make me banned, then? It's just that I've made numerous ammounts since the username of SilverStar. Reasons were that I thought I wanted to leave, but came back as I missed the forum. Is that bannable, or am I safe?

I dont see any harm in you wanting to come back. However if you just came back to troll or harass THEN you would get in trouble. But I think you are fine in my opinion n_n

You still need to request deletion for those old accounts you don't want anymore.

I also have a question, not about banning but suspension. Will you get an e-mail notification if you are suspended or do you have to figure this out the hard way? I never been susepended (and I dont INTEND to be) so I wouldnt know. Just that my comp acts super slow sometimes and takes forever for the typing box to pop up on the profile etc and I panic thinking someone spread rumors about me and I got suspended. Trust me I'm very paranoid about things sometimes. I like to play it safe. xP

I'm not entirely sure about the email of suspension thing, but I can assure you, we staff members make sure we uncover the truth behind a situation. We most likely wouldn't just suspend someone because of a rumor.

Answers from the FAC developers.

[b]When site staff process a ban:[/b]
- We have to provide a reason for the ban. Password confirmation is also required as a standard security measure.
- The user receives an e-mail stating the reason why.
- The stated reason is also logged as part of their account and prominently displayed whenever a staff member views their userpage again.

[b]When site staff process a suspension:[/b]
- We have to provide a reason for the suspension and a duration (from 24 hours to 4 weeks, as needed). Again, password verification is also required as a standard security measure.
- No email notices are sent to notify the user about their suspension.
- The suspension notice is prominently displayed to staff members viewing their userpage. It is NOT displayed to ordinary users, suspensions are in this sense "invisible" so that only the affected user and site staff even know it was issued.
- Suspensions are checked upon user logins. When the user tries to log in, they will receive a notice about the suspension, including when it expires.
- The suspension's expiration date is relative to when the user [i]received[/i] their suspension notice, not when staff initially processed it. This is deliberate to ensure that the user is always notified of a suspension regardless of when it was issued or how often they normally log in.

Does he have a yahoo e-mail? If so usually yahoo sends some FAC e-mails to the spam box. Still happens to me when some people comment on my profile or answer back to my replies on the mainsite.

/; I'm not so sure about the person I'm talking about. What puzzles me is that I really don't think he's a troll, so I don't think he could have been banned for that. I never saw any evidence of it.

Another question about forum suspension. When I was lurking about I accidently clicked on Aren's name and instead of saying the old "This person has been banned or their name was deleted at their request" it had his info show up. Now is he and the others un-suspended or is FAC being tricky again? O___o

When you're suspended, other users can still see your information. You just can't comment or talk to them until your suspension is over. Only when you're banned or delete your account do users get the message, "This user has been banned..." or "this account has been deleted..."

Hmmm sooo does this mean Aren and the others are back in action on the forums? Someone should get one of them over here to test that theory. And to see if it was FAC messing up I went to a troll banned account on here and it said 'this account has been banned etc etc' so im not sure what the smoof is going on. O_o
