Pheral Redesign

The original Pheral design lasted from 2004 to 2007, Pheral version 2 has been in place from 2007 to current. Recent discussions have brought about the consideration to redesign the sites mascot. We have come to the conclusion that it is in fact time for a breath of fresh air in the logo department.

The discussion threw some ideas to change the sites mascot but it is our official position (as decided by two of the sites three administrative bodies) to keep Pheral as a cat. The possible revamp and incorporation of Sam is not out of the question but Pheral is the sites official and primary mascot.

One current concept that we do believe may be incorporated into the site is the use of a rotation of multiple logos, so this is not a contest. However only the best works will be chosen so, If you have ideas for Pheral Version 3, Sam Version 2 or just some suggestions on how to improve the existing Pheral and Sam designs Please post them in this thread.

I would draw a design but as you all know im a real media artist so yeah wouldnt help at all. xP

I do my drawings on paper too, It would not take much to digitalize.

Oh wow thanks I am honered by the suggestion butttt I dont think I could do sam D: I havent seen that mascot alot to get a good idea. But hey I will give it a whirl.

I am good at drawing humans (anime style) and felines. Dogs are my weak point, why I dont know, probly the snouts. -shrug-

Hmm I wont alter pheral alot but I will give him a good look with a collar added that has a art related thing as the trinket on it. Doubt it will get considered though, especially if someone like Silver moon steps in, then im screwed xD

Midnight Summer's dream's Pheral is actually endearing, with a nice, interesting pose and a clear, unique eye coloration that is a leap beyond the glassy plastic pheral we have now. It's the best in this thread so far.

Looks like a kangaroo. Make it look more like a cat. Isn't Pheral male, btw?

Started drawing pheral out, Im pleased but he is looking kinda evil in my opinion. xD

Also someone toss up an image of sam (Not a link, I have dial ups) so I could give it a whirl helping out re-designing that character. xP
