"Recent Pictures" feature suck

I'm late to post this. Very late. I wish I did when I found out what was going on. When I came to this site like 2 years ago, the "Recent Pictures" on the front of the page had 4 of the most recently uploaded picture posted. Even if it was a mere moment before it ended up being bumped off the front page. But now (or when you reformatted the site, I can't remember), the "Recent Pictures" feature is picky. I don't know whether it only shows up on the front page when someone comments or when someone votes for it but it only post them when some action is taken, which leads to most of us who have submitted a picture but have no one to speak of it in the beginning get a look see before it ends up being bumped off. I remember I used to get comments only because someone saw it in the front page. Yes, even though it was only there for like 5 minutes before the next 4 pictures would bump it off, it would at least get one comment. But now, I hardly get any feedback only because it requires feedback to get on the front page, which I think is unfair for those of us who don't advertise the pic and just post it on FaC. So only those who have a large fanbase gets attention and those of us who have little to none don't get a short spotlight at all.

Perhaps there was some reason why this was change? Because I don't know why it has to be this way.

I think it was for quality standards or something so that 2-second doodles won't show up on the main page as often. I think it's based around the number of comments, faves, or votes a picture gets, idk.

If you turn off the setting, just the most recent pictures will show, and [url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ScienceMarchesOn]science[/url] tells us that at least one in five of those pictures will be from falconlobo. This rule also applies to random pictures as well, at least one in five is scientifically guaranteed to be from [url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ComedyCentral]Falconlobo[/url]. If you disagree, then [url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YouFailStatisticsForever]you fail statistics forever.[/url]

Brian, stop. Stop spreading your personal gripes about Falcon, Sarah (et al.) all over the forum, you're contributing to the cancer that's killing this site by doing so. If you want to hash it out take it to private channels like PM, they exist for a reason.

As for the "Recent Pictures" tab, TKGBIdeon you must understand that there is no way to moderate the quality of what gets shown in this tab. As for the comments filter, yes it may be a good idea to simply remove that.
