I just wanted to know your opinion about a name

This is an stupid subject to talk about but I'm a bit bored and wanted to know your opinion.
I've created an original character and his name is Indigo. I'm Spanish and the name sounded quite nice to me, but now I come to think of it, maybe Indigo isn't a good name for a boy.
Do you think that the name Indigo is ok for a male or that it rather suits better a female character?

Colors as first names sound weird. Except for maybe "Violet," but because it's a flower. If I had to guess the gender of someone named "Indigo," I'd probably go with a girl.

Indigo can be translated into Spanish as Indigo but also as Añil. Maybe Añil would be a better choice.

its 2 letters away from ichigo, a bi-polar sword weilding ginger. which is the first person I thought of when I read the name indigo.

Indigo is a bad name for a boy. It's a good last name, but not a first one. Name the boy Chapters Indigo, tell me if you get any lawsuits.
