The threads in Random, when they expire, are they purged from the system or quarantined? I'm thinking of doing a web-comic in a style of a hypothetical forum threads in a hypothetical art site (non-linear storytelling, absurdly powerful moderators, buttmonkeys, dry wit, Seinfieldian conversations abound) and I really want to revisit the threads that got booted off random.

I think they're gone for good, but I'm not sure.

Do you plan on doing just avatars/text or will you be drawing stuff, too?

Hold on, I'm writing a general plan, I was up all night yesterday, I'm planning something genuinely awesome, which literally hurts my usual crabby self.

Ya, I think they're gone for good. I was looking for a few old topics the other day and found nothing, not even in google.

They are pruned from the forum after a set number of days and purged from the system automatically.

There's also a bug in PHPBB2 where auto-prunes affect announcements and pinned topics, which is one reason we don't use it much.
