well...I dont know about "slim"..sounds like they couldnt come up with an origianl name, Oh well it works I guess... But was this really necessary?
Its about the same thickness and about 5 inches shorter than the original...
More like 360 "slightly smushed version fo the original"
It will go for around $300, and have a 250GB harddrive
Has some new ports...and 5 USB ports, as well as a (phsyically) smaller harddrive. |

They only make them smaller to reduce the price, to overall increase sales.
Less parts to make it = Less money to spend on parts = Lower price = More people buying. _________________ |

This isnt going to be that much cheaper to make.
Added ports...bigger harddrive.
All in all your right....but I think this is Microsoft FINNALY responding to Sony's PlayStation slim. |

Apparently, it has the added feature of eating discs if you move it.

thats just from the type of disc drive...
bang a computer around with a disc in it, and it will eat it was well.
granted...the 360 etches a perfect circle on your disc then eats it...
Its not the only device with the problem. |

Judging by that photo, without a size comparison to the original 360, I would probably call it the XBox 360 Ding _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

You'd be a dumbass to do that with any system.
Anyways, I got this thing when it came out, it no longer sounds like an airplane in the house. It's freaking quiet.
What's odd, if I'm downloading an addon for any game, and I go play a game, it still downloads the addon. |

You seem to think everyone lives in the same sheltered land as you.
Try living next to a trainline in an quake heavy area, and tell me that something moving leading to a dead disc isn't a nightmare |

K, been there, done that. If anything, older systems are more of a bitch to keep from moving, one single rumble and it'll freeze.
I
I
V I was talking about the good systems. As in the SNES, Genesis, ect ect.

Really? 'Cause I've had a Genesis fall off a damn table and keep running Castlevania Bloodlines. |

It's a matter of model. I think the model 3 and sometimes the model 2 Genesis get that problem. |

I think I'm goin' the route of, when my current 360 bites it, I'll upgrade to this one. People gripe about the wireless bit, but wired (to the net) is more reliable anyway. I used to have a wireless adapter for my 360, which was solid, but I had to reset it once a week.
And you can call it an answer to the PS3slim, but honestly it seems like an upgrade, where the PS3slim, seemed like a downgrade. New 360 is shiny, looks better (kinda like an alienware tower, with those vents on the sides), and now has touch sensitive buttons. Whereas the PS3 slim, lost the shine, lost the chrome, lost the touch sensitive buttons, and... frankly looks kinda like a doormat (Glad I have the older PS3 model). |

It'll be at $200 at a point next year or so for sure. But knowing M$, it wont stay low for long. |
