Ok.. Here in England we have rather few local coffee houses.. but you Americans and such get the idea...

Well.. as the name suggests, there has been few decent interesting threads here for a while ( Razz

) Not saying this one is or will be any better but hey, let's try and make it happen!

I will start off the poem with something I dreamt/hallucinated/saw on the net recently..

Roses Are Red
Violets Are Blue
Bader Badger Badger
Mushroom Mushroom.

Beautiful isn't it Sad

Yeah so this thread is for all ye merrie gentlemen/m'ladies to share thier artistic wordplay and thier dramatic emotion in (hopefully) comprehensible language...

Poems can be anything.. I am bein' lenient of what I think we'd like to see??

anything from Emo to reciting the Alphabet in a fun way.. Very open poetry reading here but hey.. Give it a shot..
Even if you don't write poetry, have a go!!! It can get pretty fun when you get going... But when that going gets tough, the tough get going.. then you lash out and throw the PC moniter through the window, which, of course, I advise against.

I like it.. It's short and subtle.. however it could do with being a little longer..

I will post my fave one of mine soon if I can b assed...

A bark was heard from down the street
when the man looked around.
He saw a running dog and thought,
"I wish I were a hound."

"I'd never have to worry about
work or bills or taxes.
"I'm sure that all day long that mutt
just kicks back and relaxes."

The hound then peered down the street
and day drempt as he ran.
"How much better life would be
if I could be a man."

"I'd never have to worry about
being hauled off to the pound.
"I'd eat the finest 'people' food,
not of kibble for a hound."

Miles away on a sunny day
a young girl wriggled her toes and smiled.
"It sure is fine, this life of mine.
I'm glad to be a child."

Now the future is here, and as we all know,
The things we once thought are certainly not so.

But all is not lost for we've come a long way,
From a primative past to a technical day.

Machines that give life and lazers that heal,
Decades ago would have seemed so unreal.

Water that runs and comodes that flush,
Doors that slide open without even a touch.

Frequent visits to the final frontier,
While hopes that a visit to Mars may be near.

Computers that understand every word you speak,
And seach out the answers to the questions you seek.

The future may not be what people once saw in their dreams,
But it certainly is a lot more than it seems.

This is pretty much the first poem I ever sat down to properly do...
It's a littly sh*tty but the effort is there...

Behold: "[i]The Hidden Message[/i]"

All this bullshit people cram in your head
when ur a kid, ya just wanna be fed
your daddy, the cunt, the bastard's a thief
to sugar-coat truth, just to hide all the grief
tells u secrets, stories, lieing thru thier teeth
they'll never teach you the realness beneath
about life, they've been there, they understand,
yet they hide all that's real and hold ur hand.
it's really ironic, how as you grow up,
you learn all the facts, and then you blow up
You see that you've been shadowed, hidden away
you resent the fact that you live, every day
you think u'll go on, think that you'll survive,
but little do u know, you'd sooner rather die.
You sit on that hard matress you bought for nothing
you're thinking so hard, you dont hear yourself coughing
is this where it ends? is this how i die?
in my room, as i begin to cry.
No; I sit up and i look around
i listen to every other sound
I realise what a sham my life has been
the relations, the thoughts, all that i've seen
I now know that all people will go the same way
to so many people, i cannot say
to explain, to show, to demonstrate,
how only one mind can give birth to such hate.
One little thing, however, can show my life
television, of course, at such a small price
to cause a fuss, to attract attention,
to show my pain, to know my dimension,
All i need is courage and a gun
and show the world how to have fun.
i take my things and go to the city
everything around me smells so sh*tty
i take one person, pin them down
"if anyone moves, ill take this town."
all was quiet except for a cry
i looked at myself and asked, just: Why?
i fell to the ground, gun at my feet
i never realised, life had me beat
everyone around me, so scared to move
look in my eyes for the next critical move.
I did not fail them, they got what they wished,
i got back up, i finally finished
I could not think, what i could have become
i could only stare at this little grey gun
i saw it as a doorway, a ticket to leave
to finally be free, to finally breathe
i looked to the sky, tear in my eye
so many people, wishing me die
i looked down at the poor womans face
i'll leave soon, but without any grace
i felt the hate bubbling away
what more could i possibly say?
i straightened my back, gave out a cry
wished the world an unhappy goodbye
with one small motion, a finger squeeze
so many lives, changed with ease
a man at the morgue says what have i done?
yes, sir, this is my son.
he kneels at the corpse, bloody and bruised
thinks over and over of the terrible news
he never knew what pain he had caused
he could not speak, just an unstoppable pause
he had never asked just how he felt
only worried about his own safety-belt
his father's father, as it seems,
was also evil and downright mean
although he managed to bear the pain
he could not talk to his son again

I know there is no paragraphs but.. meh

Like it or lump it I guess WTF?
