I voted for the broken ankle. I don't particularly care about relationships. I've been to six different schools in the past seven years, and so many of my own friends have moved away that I'm used to short friendships.

Good lord, I've gotten that one one too many times. <_<

I'm really not sure which would hurt more though. Must ponder this for a while....

I'm not a relationshippy person.

Meaning I don't have much experience with relationships so...
...I say breaking your ankle.. I have never broken a bone in my body..
I have pretty good balance and awareness, really so.. Doesn't happen very often lol..

I vote for the second because I have a high tolerance for physical pain, but emotional pain... yeah I don't work very good with that.

Imagine being shoved down a flight of stairs by your lover, breaking your ankle on the fall, then he/she walks down and tells you right in your face, "I love you, but I'm not IN love with you." That's a double whammy.

And in the wise words of Greg Behrendt, "He's just not that into you". His stuff always makes me laugh. Perhaps I will buy his book, even though I hate Self Help books... Oh well, I shall make an exception for Greg, for his website makes me laugh and laugh... ("I love you, but I'm not IN love with you...that first I love you means 'I don't want to hurt you', and that second I love you means...he's not in love with you!" - Greg)

I vote number one. 'Cause number two is easily fixed with a swift kick in the balls.

Hey look fallen! I changed my avatar so you won't have to quarrel whether or not coke looks better on someone's poop-hole *poop* or if it's cum. :Big Chipmunk Cheeky Smile:

Same here. The only reason I picked the opposite, though, was because of the specific nature of the question. Relationships and broken bones don't really pertain to me, but otherwise I'm pretty good at sucking up physical pain while breaking down emotionally just like that. I could be bruised and scraped up in a football game and think nothing of it, but after a night of no sleep and realizing that my grades are suffering... the stress will just destroy me.

I vote for the second one. Physical pain will heal and go away. Emotional pain, on the other hand, haunts and hurts forever. Well, not exactly forever, but it still does hurt whenever the memory is recalled.

Flying down a flight of stairs is painful. Breaking your ankle is more painful. I know. I've done it. And it hurt like s**t.
