I know...it's insanely stupid, and...well...stupid, and kind of pathetic that I'd even attempt this, but....I was bored. Make fun all you want...I know it's trite...

Yay for pseudo-grunge...

If you can't tell, A Perfect Circle was a definite influence...

(Verse 1)

Hesitance breeds consequence
One must learn to take a stance
Or choices gone and faded fast
You've given up your chance to act
And now your locked inside your room
Poised to solidify your own doom

(Pre-Chorus)(Whispered)

Don't worry, that's ok
You never liked you anyway
You never knew you
You never cared
Always, always just so scared...

(Chorus)

It's not worth it (2x)(2nd time, whispered)
Your not worth it (2x)(2nd time, screamed)
The breath you take...

(Verse 2)

In this instance
Moot is my resistance
I'm nothing but a vagrant
In the vast expanse
That is my resentment
Still, I remain entranced
By your eyes, in which danced
Simultaneous force and reticence

(Pre-Chorus)

(Chorus)

(Verse 3)

It doesn't matter now
That's you there in the ground
No one again to enjoy
Just having you around
Here I am, a lost little boy
Remembering your frightened tone
When you'd locked yourself inside your room
Poised to solidify your own doom
And I hung up the phone

(Chorus-Modified)
God, it's worth it(2x)
You were worth it(2x)
The breath you take...

We have a thread for it, but while I can...
Grunge is dead. Revival won't work.

Band: Inside Out
Song: Holy City
Album: currently unreleased

(intro bass; enter guitar 10 second after bass intro)
Welcome to the Holy City
We don't care about your cost
We just care if you're pretty
So welcome to the Holy City
We could care less about the cost
As long as it does the lifting

(enter verse; palm muted guitar and regular bass keep it going)
There she is behind the church
Smoking her cigarette
Not a care in the world
In the next two years
She'll smother herself to death
A dealer stops a couple with a nod
He's got the stuff they want
When they ask how strong
His cocaine is he says
It'll make you higher than God

So welcome to the Holy City
We don't care about your costs
We care if you're pretty
So welcome to the Holy City
Start living your life now
Because you won't live past your thirties

There's a child walking to school
His mommy left him all alone
Man welcomes him into his
Brand new car and takes him
Everywhere but his home
A woman prays inside the church
For Jesus to return
We've got bad news honey
He's not coming back
So lean on back and burn

Welcome to the Holy City
When the deals are running hot
The women get more pretty
So welcome to the Holy City
Start loving your family now
Because they seem to get real gritty

(enter guitar solo 0:34)

(whispered)
Welcome to the Holy City
I love this town enough
I look right past the gritty
Because here come morrow
Fight your right to die
And live like there's no tomorrow

So welcome to the Holy City
We're worse than Jezebel
But only we're more pretty
So welcome to the Holy City
Yes...
Welcome to the Holy City
Lving life's a breeze
It's what's dying that ain't pretty
(during this part, enter guitar solo roughly 4 minutes long or longer)
(repeat Welcome to the Holy City as the solo progresses, finsihing with:)
So I welcome you
To the Holy City
Live like you're gonna die
And good
Fuckin'
Night
