I wasn't born early enough to remember the original show, though I did watch Team Knight Rider (a spin-off) pretty regularly.

David Hasselhoff - mrrr. Kinda makes me wish I DID watch it, just for kicks. XD

I remember Knight Rider (also known in French as K2000) and I dreamed once to have a black Trans-Am as Michael Knight (minus the dash and all KITT gadgets like Turbo-boost who allow jumping, sky mode, super pursuit mode, etc....), I wished than GM shouldn't had stopped the production of the Camaro/Firebird (and by seeing how Ford hit right on the target with the new Mustang which I love much more than the Acura RSX)

There some rumors on IMDB about an upcoming Knight Rider movie, I don't know if it will be set in the present time or if it could be set in 1982 like Starsky & Hutch movie with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson who was set in the mid-1970's (and brining back good memories of the Ford Torino used in the series)

And David Hasselholf did have a short cameo appearance in the movie Dodgeball as a German coach.
