I never watched Law and Order but I'm sure it was great!!!

He looked old yeah. But he was only 69. I call him duckman... Sad

He wasn't even in Law and Order this year. His character retired last season. He was going to have his own show.. Judge and Jury or something to that effect. It was already in production.. no idea what is going to happen with that.

Law & Order just isn't the same without him...I hate that new guy. XP

It's kinda weird, how there isn't a single person left on that show from the original cast. Orbach and Sam Waterston's characters went the farthest back though. Everyone else has been introduced and replaced so recently they don't really have any history anymore. Well, the police lt. has been there a long time too, but she's more of a secondary character.

heh, didn't mean to get off into a law & order tangent. It's really a shame he died so soon after going into treatment for cancer. I thought he was a lot older than 69, too, but he's looked ancient for years. He looked old even in stuff he was in from the 80's.

I've never watched Law and Order, but I'm sure the show will find a way to recover without him.

Hardly ever watched regular L&O (just an obsessive SVU fan for Richard Belzer), but I did love his character. Sad
