I listen to Saliva via 98X and I don't know what to say. Yes, they talk about sex, drugs, and booze in that party on kinda way, but they don't meet up too well on the critic's lists. I've listened and I've made these notions....
-They have a skilled guitarist. Good solos, blues based.
-Obviously influenced by Guns N' Roses, Slash era.
-Good bass, drums, rhythm guitar, and vocals.
-Lyrics sometimes make me think of old Gn'R songs.
It's interesting. I'm really not sure how to rate them. I like the guitar, mainly because, like I said, the solos are intensely blues based. The vocals aren't whiny. The bass is throbbing and the drums are good.
But then again, it's one of those MTV bands, supposedly.

They sound familiar. But nothing's coming to mind. Have they come out with any songs that I can look out for on the radio? I mean, if the guitarist is influenced by Slash then it can't be all bad. And they're not whiney and even have that nice GnR flair to it so honestly, I don't see a downside. Maybe this is a sign that MTV may surprise us with a band thats actually good and not this Avril and GC crap they're trying to pass off as punk or rock. <_<
But all in all, I see no downsides to this band. ^_^ _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

Big John (Poison security guard) toured with them a couple years ago instead of going out with Poison. (ooh, random trivia!)
Personally don't like them but don't have all that much against them. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
