I assume you mean it's supposedly illegal to bring Manson CDs, which it isn't, though bringing the man himself could certainly end in all kinds of fun law breakage.
But no, it's not illegal to take the CDs to school. He's gotten so much shit and myths about him in relation to schools it's insane.
Some schools may have rules about wearing his shirts or playing his music out loud as "disruptive", but that's just a single school's policy. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

It's Marilyn Manson.
Only thing I think would be a problem are the shirts where he has the body of a woman wearing nothing. Yeah, those could do.
Playing music loudly during class is usually against school policy, except here. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

not really, no school i've been to has "loud music" as being disruptive. they quite frankly, don't give a damn. but yeah, i would imagine marilyn manson would be some sort of trouble. i mean, look at the guy! then again, there's the rumor that he got to guest teach an elementary class (while being supervised)... he's an odd fellow indeed. :D

It's pretty much teacher to teacher whether they allow music. One guy at my school will play old vinyl records during tests (Pink Floyd, Led Zep, etc.) while others don't allow noise of any kind, even wearing headphones. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. yeah true. i suppose what we should say is that all schools have some sort of teacher-set guidelines for their classrooms. then of course you've got the major rules such as "don't kill other students" and "don't piss in the fountain." |

My school is supposed to be strict about dress code but they suck at reinforcing it. Hell, I have a bunch of friends who wear Marylin Manson shirts daily. (Though none of them have the one of him with the 's body.) Only the art rooms really play music loud. And 90% of the time, they don't care what you play as long as you play it low (Southpark Christmas Carols+Max Volume+Manipulated Substitute=One very angry principal. ) The only downside is that its always a class vote on what to play so if no one likes your music then you can't play it...which is the story of my life lately. Everyone in my art class likes hip hop and all those crappy new punk bands so when I offer to put in Aerosmith or GnR, they will either protest till I give up or they will play a "game" with me where they let me put in the CD and then after 30 seconds, someone will turn it off and wait till I turn it back on. This kind of game has gone on for half an hour at most till I just say "Screw It" and put on my walkman instead. <_<
I hope Marylin Manson teaches Kindergarten. That would be so awesome. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |
