Hack Mutation

I have the 1st Hack game [b](Hack infection) [/b]and i was wondering what the second one was like there must be some other person with this game so please can you tell me your view on the first and tell me whether the second is as good coz i want to get it!!!!

I mean the first is good but i want to kno bout the second so i kno wether to get it or not????

it's more of the same really. There's no real dramatic changes to gameplay, ability systems or aims of the game. I'd say it's even easier than .hack//INFECTION (I beat it in 20 hours). It sticks to the same "find a password, go to level, beat boss, get next password" method from the first one. So I'd say that if you like the first one a lot then go for it. But be warned that not much changes.

I've played all of the .hack//games...

you'll probably like the second one... there is a bit more to do then the first one Wink

its a good idea to get all of the games, because of the data load thing... and it makes it more fun...
its basically the same gameplay ^-^ but its damn fun.

my advice is to get as much of the stuff from the Ryu books for the 1st game as you possibly can, and level up a bit.

ESPECIALLY the one Ryu book that keeps track of the monsters you fought, because its very hard to find ALL of the monsters by the fourth game. Very Happy

oh yes! one more thing! take your time ^-^ its alot more fun that way.

but the goblin racing thing can get a bit annoying... i personally would put that off until the third game :wacko:

Actually, the goblin races are quite easy. All of them are susceptible to either paralysis or sleep, except for the very last goblin (although some of the goblins have a high evasion rate, it's still possible to stop them. It just takes a couple tries). Once you can slow them down, you can just walk right up to it and activate (a wind-based) elemental sword attack. It also helps to have the speed charm activated. (Mmm, strategy...)

As a minor note: the very last goblin allows you to bring your whole party for the fun, if I remember correctly.

My favourite game is the third one, personally (just because a certain someone joins your party, lol).

MUTATION is quite a bit more easy than the first game - I found that in the first game, I needed to level up a bit before fighting Skeith, whereas, in the other games, I could beat the bosses without any training whatsoever.

There's four games. Infection, Mutation, Outbreak and Quarantine.

the 2nd,3rd and 4th game are quite easy to find in stores.
but your lucky you have the 1st one! took me 2 months to find a copy...

Well i found my game well easy it was in pre-owned and in the new but i got the pre-owned coz it was like 3.99 and the new was 15.00 :huh: so you kno what one you'll choose and i found .Hack// mutation twice but they were 16.99 so i'm saving up... ^_^ Razz

How many people saw the little movie thingy at the end? It's on the video disc containing the... video, and if you watch it, I thought it was funny, although it was in Jappenesse, or something like that... It still shows the words at the bottom. I like that it's in Jap, it sounds way funnier, mostly when the two look-alikes are arguing Very Happy

It's because the Legend of the Twilight was first made as the manga and then created into the anime after the original was made (kinda like a spinoff). The original came first and that's why they're different.

I LOVE!!!!! the .hack//sign show. (Very big fan.) and I've played the first game. I'm saving up to buy the other three. The hack games are cheap around here i got the first game for only 14.00. I love the music from the game (and some from the show) I love aura's theme the most of all. Legend of the Twilight I don't like it just doesn't have what the game and show have.

Legend of the Twilight is more like a spinoff and you can tell because they constantly refer to the original. Any more questions? :huh:

^^ there are also "secret menus" hidden on the dvd's inculded with the games.
they basically explain plot holes and secrets within the game.

also there are useful keywords in .hack//liminality and .hack//sign... but they are tricky to catch... i still have not gotten them all...
