Hahahah a few months ago I tried to get the mod.'s or whoever does it to put up a cradle of filth art gallery but it never happend. *shrugs* ah well. (nothing against the mods or anything) who else liek black metal like cradle of filth and anorexia nervosa?? and such. lol

lol i do believe goth is a religion but i do not practice anything close to it. i havent even looked into it far enough to see if goth was a religion or not but i kno there used to be a group of warriors called the goths back in medevil times. *shrugs* but i do believe in other things related to that of a goth.
Newayz stupid stage shows? lol ok. yeah i kno dani flith has half naked women on the stage dancing and s**t but i aint complaining heheheh i like the music and if otherwise i wouldn't to it Razz

Goth is a style, not a religion.
Goth is never going to be a religion because it was a style of archetecture and now is a style for angsty teens to use to rebel against their parents, who, interestingly enough, don't need to put up with your crap because they went through the same thing and didn't start wearing black. They got laid wearing regular clothing.
It's a common misconception people make and I figured you were one of those people.
My deduction was correct, I may judge you now and I will comment on it as I see fit.
Fun factoid: People who claim to be goth claim to be a part of the church of Satan, which was interestingly founded by a person who never followed the 11 commandments and wrote the Satanic Bible because someone asked him to because of one thing:
Money.
This is very true and yet, so many people take Aton LaVey seriously.
That isn't even his real name. He changed his identity completely and his work is basically a joke.
But it sells, so, you know.
Bauhaus are the only ones I'll let fly. Only because Fallen sez.
Stage shows are my reason for liking a band. Slipknot's sucks, so I no like them. Black metal in all generally has terrible stage shows.
I can find more half naked women at a Guns N' Roses concert and they aren't black metal, just insane party-goers(were) and hella good musicians.
People abandon skill for style, it sucks.
Although that goth in NCIS is pretty cool..... Uneasy

One of those people. lol. Wow. How are you gonna judge me becuz I though goth was a religion. And first of all i sed even if it was i didnt go by it. If yer trying win something over on me its not gonna work becuz i dont say im goth, i dont try to make myself look hardcore to be part of the "goth" group. Though i like the style and the music. and i dont claim to be part of satans church either. but i do believe satan has his purpose. So don't go trying to label me like im some kind of cereal box. allright?

Why not? People label me all the time, I just don't care.
You shouldn't either, but my reasons are this:
1. Most people will claim that we "don't understand" someone because of their "unique style".
2. Most people who claim to be goth say it's a religion.
3. I don't assume you are a goth, I assume you know people that are.
4. I could assume you are one because of your signature, which suggests some individuals find you freaky.*
5. By "one of those people", you may find me to be a bit different.**

Now, interestingly enough, while I'm not a diehard Christain(Unlike most, I question faith), I know it's common knowledge Satan has a purpose, but I don't think he's going to do anything. We're ruining ourselves.
I look at the goth style and I wonder what's made them do this. There are two responses I recieve:
1. "I was born to be this way"
2. "It's me and you'll never understand it"
I'm impressed you've jumped on me already. Must recieve that a lot, huh.
The last statement you make is interesting in its own light. "Cereal Box" is a new one for me.

*I'm labelled "spooky" by my friends and peers because I have a fascination with the paranormal. Most will never admit to believe in etraterrestrial life, contact, and most aspects of the supernatural.

I see. Well i dont like to be tested or judged. Though yeah, ppl judge me quite a bit. Some people will be hearing me listen to metal and then they'll ask me if im a goth. I just dont bother answering anymore. i also got the question "do u worship the devil?" heh again i dont answer them nemore. "are you a lesbian?" me: "no im a f**king bisexual!alright? ty ty ppl." you see where im trying to get?Sry for jumping on you but its just automatic when someone tries to figure me out or judge me. I flip.
And when it comes to my signature .lol. yeah i am different.
And itsnot lirek i worship satan or anything. i just owe him one (for one certain reason)
now im just losing my train of thought.. WTF?

Guess I have to cut to the chase.
I believe most black metal groups are just people who got contracts because of their image, and not their music. Marilyn Manson got Godhead a contract, but Godhead doesn't deserve it. Marilyn Manson just annoys the Hell out of people and his minions are brainwashed individuals who think he rules all.
Yet, most will never hear of Alice Cooper, the person who influenced Manson to take on a girl's name, use makeup, and have an elaborate stageshow.
So, I don't like it much, as I stated.

Hehhehe this wasnt a goth thread to beging with, it was a topic on black metal. lol i personally like blakc metal. and i asked ppl if they like it as well. then all of a sudden i must be some goth kid.y'kno? o boy. Rolling eyes

and by the way manson isnt black metal. heh ppl are snappy.

hmmm nope. manson is freak metal. blakc metal is rather gothic. and manson is just not goth. lol

Shock metal is actually the technical term for people who use bizarre stage shows and a unique appearence. Sort of like shock jocks.

You're a fool. Black Metal is as much a philosophy as it is an art form, you cannot claim to like Black Metal whilst at the same time having a Marylin Manson avatar and mentioning Cradle Of Filth. Cradle Of Filth are not, I repeat, not Black Metal, they are Extreme-Goth at best, and it angers me that they have made the likes of you believe you understand the depths of Black Metal. It has always been deeply rooted in the underground and that is where it should remain. And Anorexia Nervosa? They're Extreme-Symphonic...anything that has "Suicide Is Sexy" as an album title is by default a disgrace.

You sicken me.
