isnt anime's def. "animation made in japan" so why is it that if we draw in a style similar to that on anime, we are "anime artist" or "draw in anime style" is we're in america or canada or france or england or mexico... ( you get it right? )
sorry if that sounded incredibly stupid... |

People in Japan called pretty much ANY animation anime, from french word for animation, [i]dessin anime[/i] (literally, moving drawings). This entered in OUR dictionary as "Japanese animation". There is no specific definition for anime in English because it's a borrowed word, there hasn't been much usage to denote its nuance, so people can use the word to say "oh, I'm an anime artist (I draw like the mainstream Japanese animation artists)" and it wouldn't be incorrect. _________________ [img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v233/Brianhjh/emesprani151.gif[/img] "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |
