I'm pretty sure people have tried this already. The fact is, newbs just don't take the time to read stuff. Either way, most of the I'm new threads die out pretty quick.

I wouldn't always assume that the n00bs don't read. A lot of them do get confused. You can tell by some of the recent posts w/ n00bs asking if they have posted in an appropriate place. Besides, the mods take care of the situation. It would probably be better if someone were to put a thread on the main page titled something like "Welcome Wagon" or "Newbies". Cuz I doubt n00bs are gonna know where ta search if it's not just out in the open on the main page. Uneasy

I personally just redirect the person. It's better to help than take things out on the n00bs.

The problem is that evreyone was a noob sometime and there was someone who told you how it was supposed to work but not anymore...
