There's getting to be more and more "Look at my work!" threads cluttering the art discussion one. Maybe it's time to have a self promotion/page share board?
With rules like one thread per week at the most, so you don't have people making a new one every time they submit something? Or better yet, only one thread that can be updated when they post something new?
Or just a "no self promotion threads" rule. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Personally, i like the last of your three ideas Fallen.
I've noticed the stupid threads as well, and one person had three different ones. In three different places before T_T
I love it when people look at my work, but i don't go around making a thread saying "Look at my artwork!" it's annoying, a waste of my time and others. IF you want people to look at your artwork, than say in the favorite artist thread, tell them your ideas on favorite artist, and just at the end say "Maybe you guys would like to look at my own artowkr while were talking about it" but other than that or even better, why don't you make a link to your artwork section of FAC or wherever else you have it for your quote, like you have *points* Simple enough no.

Yeah, I just suggested the forum 'cause DA has a thumbshare forum to plug your new piece or offer to give out comments on work. *shrug*
So it's a matter of ignoring, moving, or deleting promotion threads. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
