Thought of this after being stuck in bed for a day and half due to a stomach virus. ^_^ So how do you all sleep at night? On your back? Stomach? Do you hug your pillow? Cover yourself with the blankets? Tell about it here!
I sleep in what is probably an unsual position. I sleep on my breasts (should be my stomach but my breasts reach the bed before my stomach so I'm pretty much sleeping on them) with my left arm tucked under my stomach and my right arm clutching the covers (which are over my head with a little bit open where my eyes are so I can look at my clock.) And finally, my left leg is stretched out while my right leg is bent as high as it will go (up to my shoulders.)
And I find this position very comfortable. ^_^ _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

ooookkkk. I usually sleep on my side, except when it's raining. I always watch the rain until I fall asleep so I fall asleep on my stomach. |

Rita...so you have a window behind your bed? That you can see the rain from? Can people see in too, though? O_O;;
I sleep on my side~. I also have an insane number of blankets and pillows, and use them to build little blanket castles and caves to sleep in ^_^ |

I have one of those. Keep the blinds closed now that the hedge that blocked the neighbors and street from seeing in was cut down.
Stomach. I'm boring. (after I've fallen asleep anyway...) _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I always sleep on my back. But given that I usually hit the hay at 1am or so, and that I need about 9 hours of sleep, the sun's always shining in to my room an hour or two before I wake up. And at that point I'm on one side, then the other, then over again... _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA
I heard that it's bad for your back to sleep on your stomach...I dunno.
You're probably right. I wake about 80% of the time with horrible lower back pains. My doctor and mom say its from trying to sleep on my stomach but since my breasts are a bit on the *cough* larger side, my lower back is always bent weird when I sleep so I'm probably ruining my back every night. I need a new sleeping position.

In part, it depends on your mattress. Something really soft will bend your back badly. If it's harder, not so much. Probably not great, but dammit, it's comfortable. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I'd be an idiot if they could. It's really up high, you can't see into it. And there's no window across from me, so, I'm ok. |

I usually sleep on my side, but I need about 3 pillows piled up or I can't get to sleep. End up wrapping myself in the covers since I'm usually cold. _________________ "You know what? My squirrel instinct tells me he's even more of a bastard than I first thought." - Gene Hunt |

Two pillows, blanket pulled up tightly around my shoulders/neck, generally on my stomach or right side depending on how long I've been in one position or how long it takes the pressure points to finally say "I've had enough!" and/or one of my limbs fall asleep. I'm a pillow hugger, too. _________________ "I've got a sticky Darodo!"

Aye I was wondering when a thread like this would pop up..
I sleep on my left hand side mostly when I try and get to sleep.. my left arm is under the 2 pillows so it elevates my head in a certain angle which is very comforting.. my left hand just strays around various positions and areas of the bed/my body..
I only have a single blanket and 2 pillows and I loooove my bed.. Don't spend very much time there though  |

I sleep on my right side most of the time. I usually put the blanket over my head and sleep with one arm under my pillows. It's comfortable and it keeps the light out of my eyes so I can sleep in late <333 |

I sleep on my side. Usually without covers because it's extremely hot in my room.
I hug my pillow to keep me cool though. (It's got a satin case on it)
And on the rare ocassion it's cold in my room, I sleep with my Dora The Explorer (yes.Dora the Explorer) blanket pulled over my head so I can keep warm, ignore the light and my alarm clock.
But I move in my sleep a lot so I tend to wake up on the floor, or really close to it. ^_^ |

I sleep on my side, though I have this giant full body pillow that I snuggle my back against. <3 muah, it's soooo comfortable. I can't sleep if I don't feel something soft behind me, and I always have my arm out from under the covers unless it's freezing. |

You only hug the pillow because i taught you it!
We use to have two body pillows that i would always hug. I have five pillows on my bed. I don't really use them all in all honesty. It's more to make it look more welcoming and cozy, which it does (my friends will vouche for me) But i do tend to leave two lined up like normal, than one ontop of one of the two, with another ontop of the second one but angled slightly to either have it so it's slightly against my back while i'm asleep, or to lay into and hug while i sleep. While the third, eh, sometimes i angle that one to, or just have it somewhere for more nesting.
My mom says i nest. lol. A duvet, with my doggy blanket ontop (it has a lab on it) and a red throw. And unless i'm hot, i tend to pull them up around my shoulders and neck and hide half my face in them. Just get all nice and cozy. As for positions. Later. |
