Time and time again I find myself wondering what the title to that song is.
I know a part of the lyric, but not the band or title of the song. There are many sites out there that say they can find a song by searching just a lyric phrase, but the fools mean the most popular songs out there. You know the songs I mean, all the ones you already know the who sings them!
I found one good site a long time ago that had a song I was so desperately looking for. The phrase I put in went "she pull's the cover's tighter", that's all I remembered from the song. The search engine pulled up a band called "The Taodies". The song was "Tyler". I used Kazza and downloaded it. That was a good day.
But now I can't remember that site, and none of the ones I've found now have enough songs to search for in their database. They only have the most popular songs, and a few that aren't so much. But what about the songs you really can't remember? The songs that have been forgotten by most.
That first site I found, I think it searched the internet, not it's own database, for the lyrics, title and band. I think it used something called a 'spider' or something like that. It 'crawled' sites, maybe pre-selected sites, for the lyrics. I THINK.
Does anyone know of a site similar to that one? If so, I think it should be dubbed "The Best Lyric Search Engine", because that's exactly what it will be. You'll be able to find any song on the net, mostly anyway.
Do tell me, if you know.
(to keep this from being spam, why not share some good lyric sites too) _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

Google actually works quite well, provided you use quotes and remember the lyrics relatively close to what they actually are. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I've tried googles lyric search engine, didn't work well. And I also used the same phrase as I did the first time. I also used different phrases from diferent songs that I already know the band and the correct lyrics to, just to see how good it is. I did the same thing with all the so called 'search lyric phrase' engines. I'm helpless, in many ways. _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

Alright. I tried using Googles lyric search first. I guess I should've just done it the regular way. I'll go look for a corner to hide in now... _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |
