Oh, too bad. Hey, maybe all the wannabe pseudo-punk girls will find a new band to obsess over! As long as it's not Good Charlotte.

Don't get your hopes up. Think about this, fallen and me still think GnR is one of the best bands ever and its been almost thirteen years since they broke up. Rolling eyes

I think this news calls for a little celebration. *Breaks out the liquour* Drinks anyone? Cool

Oh and to all the Blink182 fans, I'm very sorry for *cough* your lost but don't worry...um...they're in a much better place now. ^_^

True, it's been like 35 years since the Beatles broke up and I still think they're they be-all, end-all rock gods of the world.

But you forget... You're comparing fans of legends to...fans of something I won't mention in what's more or less a fan thread. Very Happy

Not the same thing. Thank god.

Thus is the fleeting nature of the psuedo crappy punk rock fan girl. Rolling eyes

But yes indeed, thank the Good Lord above that Blink182 and GnR and the Beatles are that much different. ^_^

why did they break up anyway? i came home from boston and my friend (who is on a cruise and somehow found out before me) that they'd broken up. very surprising, since they're like super huge right now. did mark finally get fed up with being the biggest loser in the band? or were they jealous of travis' new reality show?

36 isn't "old" for rock n' roll. For cheesy mtv rock, I suppose, but there's plenty of great artists that are well beyond 36. Bowie, Aerosmith, Stones, AC/DC, Cinderella, Poison, Faster Pussycat, Iggy Pop, Velvet Revolver, Skid Row, Van Halen/DLR, reunited Motley Crue, McCartney, etc. etc. etc.

I'm not entirly sure but I think Matt was joking about Lindsay and Hilary. Just chill for a sec, dude. ^_^ Its not like he called you a Teenybobber Lindsey Lohan Fanbitch. And there are women singers who do sing well. Remember Janis Joplin? Back in the day she kicked some major ass. Cool There are probably great female rockers if that is what you're concerned about but they're most likely underground bands.
