I find them mildle irritating. I can put up with them for a while, but not forever. What's really annoying is how some crappy, 3 minute drawing of Inuyasha or someone gets like 500 comments while truly good works of art get none.

Kinda depends on the extreme-ness of the fangirl.

I am a fangirl in the sense that I scream 'bishonen' quite a bit, but that's probably the only Japanese I use online aside from 'Chibi' (I'm learning Japanese at an after-school program)

But I'm not a fangirl in the sense of shrieking I've married an imaginary characters and telling people to get the hell of my "husband" and in the sense of trying to use Japanese without knowing Japanese and wanting to run to Japan without any knowledge of Japanese culture and conversational Japanese.

Extreme fangirl= idiot and past a certain point, probably in need of some psychiatric help.

Not-so-extreme fangirl= a generally normal human being like every other anime fan.

Yes, that is what I think.

My sister is a fangirl and believe me she is annoying! I can't stand it when she gets out of control over Dark Link. She runs around the house screaming "DARK LINK!!! MARRY ME!!" Oh well, I seem to be able to stand it

I dont mind them so much but i have to agree with silentsoul, its annoying when 2minute scraws get over 500 comments, it makes me angry, but they do make good target practice ^^

i find them annoying and yeah i i agree with rita about good pics dont get comments but crappy things fan girls like get 100s hmmm shrugs ohwell is there such thing of a fanboy :huh:

I've only had to deal with one fangirl in my life(and I hope never to have to again!), but I agree with the rest of you, I HATE how those little short sketches get tons of comments and someone's original art doesnt get any!!!(just like my gallery, unfortunately). I ask you, please, look at the artists who spent time into their original work! Don't just fawn over a piece of paper!

It took me about ten minutes to defeat Giga Bowser, Ganondorf, and Mewtwo from Super Smash Brothers Melee using Peach.
How long did it take my brother to defeat those characters using Yoshi? Two minutes.

There's the problem between being against them and actually being one of them.So I guess opinions differ majorly between the two groups.Besides,people may switch between being a rabid fangirl and being opposed to them like I do.So you can't really explain your opinion,but I guess people have their reasons.

fangirl wars were the cause of Anime/Manga being on probation, so i suggest you all kindly find some other thread to haunt lest problems start again.

Here are soem more!

1. The main character MUST have relationships with more than one of the girls in the anime.
2.The bad guy must always wear make-up. (Like Naraku and Lord Fluffy!)

Let's see, the ones come to mind for me are:

- Unlike the main characters, enemies and villains are exempt from such inconveniences as physical fatigue or hunger; main character(s) will become tired as a fight progresses while the villains will still fight at their full strength.

- Perhaps due to the above, normal attacks will NEVER finish off an enemy or villain, they can only be killed / finished off by a special attack.

- Special attacks require a verbal incantation of that attack's name. (Okay, there [i]are[/i] a few exceptions, but otherwise...)

- There's about a 50-50 chance that a character's special attack, when executed, will have absolutely no effect on their opponent, it will be either evaded, deflected, or simply not do any visible effect.

- The fearsomeness of a villain is directly proportional to the number of episodes he appears in before getting killed by the main characters (or another villain).

-None of the characters have problems with "the bathroom" area. (except in Naruto & DB, but I haven't seen it anywhere else. They just hold it in I guess. xD!)

-No periods what so ever for the girls

-No main character is acutally ugly

-Two "hot" guys have a 50/50 chance of become gay together

- Girls either are flat chested or have huge boobs. Only a few girls are every "inbetween".

yes..that bathroom thing has always bugged me...the girls are kinda lucky aren't they?
and you're right about the special attack thing too. It kinda gets predictable after awhile. -.-'
