So has any1 read Eragon? it's a fantasy trilogy, and in my opinion it was better than Harry Potter and LOTR combined!

Yeah, I love fantasy books, so I guess it'd be a good read.

But why is the book really good in your opinion? Character development? The overall plot? What makes this book good?

(just for the sake of discussion)

well, the book is good in a lot of ways yes. the characters are developed very well, the world that Christopher Paolini creates is so real and full of detail it almosts exists. for a fantasy book the laws are set down very well. and the whole ancient story behind the setting also completes the effect. the dragons in the book are very clever too christopher makes them incredibly real. And remarkable is that Christopher was only 19 when he finished this book. You might say oh hes young his books are crakpot, no its not like that, the plot interweaves with the characters and the setting to make a really great book.

It's a fantastic book, he really has tallent. I wish I could write that well! He clearly put a lot of thought into the world and it's history, as well as the characters and their backgrounds. Some of the foreshadowing and plot twists were pretty transparent, but in spite of that it was really good.

Eh, I heard a lot of things about this book, both good and bad. I might end up reading it eventually, I dunno.

Don't know when, but I've heard that Paolini finished the book and it's going through his editors and such now.

I love Eragon. =) I can't wait for the next book....Eragon was a wonderfully done book, one of my favorites. I've been meaning to read it a second time, because I've forgotten a few things, and would like to remember them before I read the second book. ^_^
