Hanoi Rocks is back yet again. Hanoi who? Hanoi Rocks, dumbass. The answer to Sixx's question way back in the Gn'R thread of "who the hell is that singing with Axl on Ain't It Fun"? Mike Monroe, of Hanoi Rocks. The father of 80s glam and a crazy good frontman. They're a Finnish band and haven't had any popularity in the states for years n' years.
Andy McCoy had his hands all over this album, so it sounds like good old Hanoi of yesteryear (not that Twelve Shots On the Rocks wasn't great, just sounded like a Monroe solo album).
Their new site has clips of the songs. Click Click
So good. Rock album of the year. Would have to hear the whole thing, but it just might rival Billy's new release. I'm sure most will have to order it online in the states, but no matter. Maybe now they'll finally tour here again.
Anyway, the songs are all strong, no filler. Mike's voice is just as good as it's always been, if not better. He simply improves with age. So far, based on the clips, my favorites are "No Compromise, No Regrets", "You Make The Earth Move", "Better High", "Eternal Optimist", and "Center of My Universe".
Hanoi were originally a combination of hard rock/punk sound with the definitive glam image, which spawned your Guns N' Roses (who were hugely influenced by them), Cinderellas, and Faster Pussycats. So yeah, check 'em out and keep an eye out for Another Hostile Takeover when it's released in the next week or so.
RIP Razzle...
(Who can resist Mike's voice? Like on "No Compromise, No Regrets". *melt* "In My Darkest Moment" from 12 Shots is like...orgasm inducing. Track 7) _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I have countless albums that do that.
If hair metal is anything, it's catchy. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

You make it sound like I'd just presented my college thesis.

What's "not possible"? The skinny legs? What is with your male leg obsession? Methinks Leo focuses a bit too much on that area...
(for those who have no idea what I mean, Leo was once bitching about 80s hair bands and complained about their "skinny legs") _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

He didn't circle Andy's bulge or lackthereof. Just the fact he's skinny. Which...well...sorry they don't do it for ya, Leo. Want some more pictures of the pretty yet acceptably buff Stevie Rachelle to make up for it? Still no tits, but you could pretend. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Stevie was so pretty. Not as pretty as Mike Monroe (blonde in the group picture), but awful damn pretty nonetheless. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
