Wow!

Just saw this movie and I believe it was one of the more....*cough* GRAPHIC of those that I've seen. Not that I personally have a problem with it. Cool

I strongly suggest seeing this movie. If you're squeemish....well....then you can just listen to the blood spatter.

Quintin had his name all over this one. If you have seen it..did you notice his name came before the actual directors? You can tell who got the big director's chair in this one. Laughing

now then....

I saw it tonight (we let the birthday girl pick Rolling eyes ). Meh, it was alright. A hell of a lot better than the last times I was outvoted. The Grudge, Lord of the Rings, Phantom of the Opera, Harry Potter, etc. I gotta get some more people on my side of the voting. . . . .

Anyway, it could've been worse. Really not my style or genre of choice, but visually it was pretty cool. The nudity didn't hurt. So much penile injury it even hurt me. Surprised

I was more entertained by the fact my poor little Jon who is a year away from being able to buy his own cigarettes was all out, and we didn't have time to buy him any beforehand, and then everyone in the movie was constantly smoking. It drove him crazy. Good times...

But yeah, it could have sucked more. I'm not big on violence. It doesn't bother me, but I'm not very entertained by it either. "You got shot in the head, whoop di doo." The chicks were hot, though.

Penile injury..... Uneasy That was incredibly painful to watch. Especially that last one in the movie.....

Jesus Christ that last one..... Surprised

Goldie! Perfect boobs!

The wolf dude. Man that kid was FREAKY!! His eyes scared the s**t outta me!

I thought the violence was entertaining if you were listening to what they were thinking during it all. My friend and I were laughing hysterically at the end of Marv's tale. He's my favorite from the whole movie.

It pretty funny, and there were some great lines. Just overall wasn't my bag. Like it could've been really funny if the story was a bit different, but it wasn't meant to be a total comedy (obviously).

I haven't seen it yet, and I'm curious...

Does it hold true to the book?

And furthermore, were the visuals all that distracting? The previews looked like they would be difficult to focus on in a dark theatre.

The visuals weren't too distracting. I don't remember what the previews are like, but it was pretty focused visually.

Had never even heard of the book, so I can't say one way or the other there.

I'd never heard of them, dumbfuck, how would I know what or how many there were? She referred to it as a singular book. Correct her. Rolling eyes

Yeah, well I'm correcting you because you know better. Grr! But yeah, it was based on three comics by the same name.

The very fact I'd never heard of them refutes that. Razz

Ok, ok, your wisdom has overpowered me. Or you know, I just don't know what refute means. :/

But I have to say, Kevin is the coolest character Elijah Wood has ever played. Kudos to him!

By the way, does anyone know which scene Quinten Tarantino directed? I guess I'm just retarded, but I can't seem to figure out which one he directed. :/

I found him playing that part kinda creepy. I couldn't stop thinking of him as some cute, short, rosy-cheeked hobbit o.O

Not that it wasn't a cool character so to say, it was just a bit odd to me ^^

Haha, I thought Kevin was the part of a lifetime for Elijah so everyone would FORGET about his hobbity past. Razz Anyways, with all these big actors, I'm suprised Jude Law didn't make the cut. He's like, in everything! :0

I couldn't stop thinking the character looked like Harry Potter. Only cooler. Ya know, if Harry Potter wasn't a sissy little wizard and did cool things like eating people instead of being a magical little boy.
