Perhaps it's just time for a new moniter. My own moniter did the same thing to me a couple of weeks ago... so I just got a new one. It's bigger and brighter then my old one. It's almost like getting a whole new computer! (almost but not quite).

Probebly monitor dieing, but could be the cable.

If the data cable is removable from the back (most are unless its really old) you can try replacing the cable.

Have you tried demagnitizing it? There's usually a button on the monitor color sys tem that looks like an upside-down U with a diagonal line through it. That will demagnitize it, but only use it if you really need to. It's only good for a few times. This usually helps with distorted picutres, but I'm not sure whether or not it will have any effect on the color.

Try a diffrent monitor and cable on your pc. If that fixes it, use the other monitor with the old cable, if it still works your old monitor is fucked. Buy a new one in that case. If that doesn't help it could be your videocard, but I doubt it.
