I know what you mean. I miss the good movies. I think it's because their audience has changed. No one wants to see singing, talking animals anymore (except for me). And the Disney channel...what is all that crap they show? It's like it should be called the preppy preteen girl's channel. At least they still show House of Mouse. I like that show even though it's for little kids. Ohh well....*hums it's a small world over and over again* _________________ I have magical female powers

Yeah, Beauty and the Beast is very heart warming. I watched not to long ago and I cried at the end Aladin, beauty and the BEast, The Lion King, And the Little MErmaid are the all time best Disney movies in my opinion.
I'm so sick and freaking tired of all those made-for-TV movies on the Disney Channel too. They make me want to go the Disney HQ and deal out some whoop-ass. _________________ I have magical female powers

I do agree. I think Alladin is my favorite, along with peter pan.
I think they did a pretty good job with Lilo and Stitch. The movie was good, but the show is just crap. I agree, they need to get up off their lazy asses and dish out some cute little talking animals, I mean, really! Whose looking out for the little 3 year olds and 4 year olds now?
Because noggin cuts close to babyish. _________________ Vampire Love, ooh, la la! |

I'm agreeing with you on this one. Disney has been going downhill ever since they stopped using fairy tales for their animated movies. There are still a lot of good stories in this world that are still waiting to be featured. But now a days they are using cgi for their movies, which is fine for some like Toy Story and Finding Nemo. But not for every single movie. Give me ink and paint anyday, at least they have more soul. Like for instance, I didn't go see The Incredibles when it came out on theaters because it do anything for me. And I don't want to rent the DVD either. I don't care what kind of special features it has. I'm just don't want to see The Incredibles.
And you are right about The Disney Channel. Most of their shows are specificly aimed at tween, pre-teen, and teenage girls who always have to deal with issues in real life. Like everyone is that oblivious. Makes miss the TV series versions of some of my favorite Disney Movies like Aladdin and The Little Mermaid. At least they are showing those shows on Toon Disney.
When I first saw The Disney Channel they actually had good shows like Kids Incorperated, The New Mickey Mouse Club, and, yes I admitted that I used to watched this, Adventures In Wonderland. I was in high school when I watch it.
So now you understand why I hardly watch the Disney Channel anymore. And please don't get me started on the music that Disney is supporting. _________________ Do not disturb me because I already am. |

..And their movies don't have catchy songs in them anymore. I miss them I probably haven't bought a Disney soundtrack in 5 years. Then they Release this Disney Mania crap with the annoyong pop singers killing the Disney songs we know and love.
I remeber Adventure in Wonderland! I used to love it! _________________ I have magical female powers

Ugh, part of the reason I don't like disney is because they gave all these wanna be pop stars a head up. Jessica Simpson was in the mickey mouse club, but thats besides the point. Im talking about Hilary Duff Lindsay Lohan (who looks like crap at the moment) and all the other girls off of Dinsney shows trying to sing. Maybe I could join Disney, maybe they give you a better head start if you go to Disneyland/world a bunch.
I want more dragons and faries from them, because thats what theyre good at. Not that tween crap, (Im thirteen, and I dont even want to see a comercial for that crap, so its a tween preteen thing) that junk belongs in the trash as well as those wanna-be pop-star/ actresses.
Stuff Disney NEEDS to do:
Aliens
Fairytales
Talking animals
and lessons in life supplied by cute fuzzy things _________________ Vampire Love, ooh, la la! |

Red_Quatre (Galileo Galilei): Oh good I was afraid I was the only one who likes that show. It's better than Barney And you're right, the music does suck It's nothing more than just boys, clothes, make-up, accesories, and parties.
Koikaji_Saru_the_Wierd_O (Izzy): I guess this means that you don't want to go see that new Herbie movie. I admit, I was intrigued to go but it has Lindsay Lohan
And you're right, Disney need to go back to it's roots. Maybe they can try their hand at classic monster stories like Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Wolfman. It worked for Universal Studios.

Yes, please, more bastardized fairy tales and fake moments in history (no really, love the older Pocahontas and male model John Smith, when the actual story is a short, balding, middle age pedophile).
Walt wanted to make good movies, whatever the guy's name is who took it over wants to make money using the Disney name. Thus, there will never be anymore classic movies because classic movies take effort and money. It's far cheaper to make a second Cinderella than pay people to develop an entirely new story with new characters. And even if it goes right to DVD, there's still that solid market of parents with young kids who will beg for the new princess story.
Traditional animation is pretty much gone. It takes time and money and is overall ridiculously slow. Even 2D animation can be and is done with the computer instead of by hand.
Basically, Disney is dead. Unless someone takes it over that will risk the financial loss to make a quality product, which is highly unlikely when there's still money to be made churning out the repetetive garbage.
it drive me crazy seeing everyone on Disney Channel looking so perfect. They have perfect bodies perfect faces, perfect hair, perfect clothes.
Since when is Hilary Duff considered "perfect"? She's an average lookin' teenager to me... _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Ok, perhaps not "average" in the super chunky, bad skinned, greasy haired way, but she's not perfect by any means. Not in the mass media, "model" sense of perfect. She used to be a bit heavy. Not in studio, airbrushed, well lit pictures, but like in live shots of her "singing", she had quite a little stomach on her. And there's something weird about her face.
Not saying she's ugly, far from it, but she looks like any other moderately attractive girl that wanders the malls here. Nother particularly special. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Only if FAC ran Disney...the animation would be 100X's better. We'd get the writers on the site to come up with new stories. I'm sure there are some talented muscians here. Hell we could whoop the current Disney workers in the ass and do their jobs much better.
Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan..I don't particulary like them. Let's leave it at that. _________________ I have magical female powers

Hillary Duff and Lindsay whatserface would be the first ones to di- I mean, get rid of. They stink. <_<
and all the members of FAC could make up shows... and we'd let gray and sixx, ect. have their own little happy hour... at 3 am, so none of the little children would be scarred for life. |

Well, you know, they do play the old classics every now and then. I saw Robin Hood on the Disney Channel not too long ago. Otherwise, I just don't watch it. They did this to the Disney channel because that's exactly the point of the Channel, to attract teen aged girly girls. They changed it so that it would "flow with the century". Sucks, I know but if you go to Disney land or Disney world, you'll be with all the classics again. And as long as they don't change that, I'll be just happy dandy, thank you! _________________ <MARQUEE>

If you don't like that channel, then why are you watching it? If you have disney channel, you have cable, and if you have cable, you have a bunch of other good channels that you could be watching right now. Yes, they're there, because little kids like them, and it makes disney more money to bring in their guests' favorite people singing their favorite songs from disney rather than random older people the kids don't know. It's more attracting. As you can see, that's why they put all that crap in commercials on the disney channel. _________________ <MARQUEE>
My sisterss watch it all the time. The TV gets left on a lot and I'm too lazy to find the remote or change it so it stays on.
*gasps* oh, how horrible. You know, you should mail yourself to my front door and you'll have to go on a 45 minute jog every morning. then, you'll be less lazy and will learn to get up and change the channel on the tv. There is a channel like 3 away called Comedy Central. Watch that or something! _________________ <MARQUEE>
I never watch TV unless it's Adult Swim with anime shows in. Other than that I don't care much for TV so I don't care hwta's on, I just hate the shows but I don't go wailing in agony about it. (most of the time)
well, you just did
ani-hoodles,
Whatever happened to that show "house of mouse"?? that was still full of the originals like mickey and mini and Donald and daisy and goofy and... all the others in the crowd! They need to put that show back on to keep the old characters in everyone's mind. _________________ <MARQUEE>

oh, I'm sure they do! Disney spirit is still about us!
The point is to make sure that no one forgets what disney really is. When they take the only show off that had anything to do with the original chars, they're letting Disney fans forget, and that sucks! _________________ <MARQUEE>

It is?! I had no idea that any kid of today would care about anything but Raven and Lizzue McGuire. <_< "Oh my life is so hard, I have test today, ogh the results came out as me going to be a hairdresser..."
Have you not seen the commercials "express yourself" and "disney channel stars are kids just like you" and "follow your dreams", they are basically showing all these viewers lives of kids "just like them" that have the same "dreams" and show all of it comming true and happy endings 'n s**t. That's what disney channel is all about, but no, I still see little girls running around with their Cinderella barbies and Little mermaid coloring books and beauty and the beast paper dolls! And the teens our age had our same experience. No one's forgotten mickey or pluto... well... maybe pluto, but that's their fault! _________________ <MARQUEE>
