Hey, lets pretend that its Friday night and you and your mates have decided to have a Horror Movie Marathon that will last from 7:00 P.M till 6:00 A.M. Unfortunately, your friends are very irresposible and put the job of renting the flicks all on you. They give you no indication of what to rent but to just "make sure that its as scary as death itself." Obviously that metaphor doesn't help so now its up to you to not only rent the movies but to choose the best movies from the shelf of wherever you decide to rent from.
What movies do you rent for this Horror Fest? _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

I don't like most movies that are meant to be scary. 'Cause they always end up being lame and don't scare me.
But horror/comedy/thriller combinations rock.
So my marathon (screw whether my friends would like it, I don't care) would be this:
Silence of the Lambs
Hannibal
House On Haunted Hill (the newer one with Chris Kattan...'cause Chris Kattan is in it)
Bride of Chucky
Seed of Chucky
Suicide Club
Yep. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I don't like slasher movies at all. I read horror books though so I always end up loving the movies if they're done right. So I'd end up being the book geek that I am and just rent movie versions of my favorite books like...
Stephen King's The Shining
Stephen King's IT
Stephen King's Salem's Lot (the new version)
Interview with the Vampire
Silence of the Lambs
Hannible
Stephen King's Pet Semetary (this scares the crap out of me everytime I watch it. Its the book's fault)
And that would be about it. My friends would probably disown me but c'mon! You can't beat these classics. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

IT is on right now. Blah. Maybe it's 'cause I don't find clowns scary? _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

IT just ended like two hours ago here. Watched the whole thing. It really isn't scary (the worst part is the beginning with the creepy music. And even that is really mild.) The book is a lot scarier and has more sex than the movie does. But I like it. Good movie if you've read the book. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

I read a bit of the book. It is actually pretty scary. Only because I have a very active imagination, mind you. |

So do I and thats why I end up getting very dissapointed when watching the movie versions. They're not nearly half has gruesome as I had pictured it. The Shining was the biggest letdown for me. I was expecting it to be much more scarier but the worst scene was this one scene that people would only understand if they read the book so the people who were watching it with me thought I was overreacing ('cuz I shrieked when the scene came on.)
Pet Semetary is the scariest one in my opinion. The whole idea of the dead coming back to life but are possesed by the devil or other demons kind of unnerves me. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

Well since were in more of a scarier category I'd have to go with..............
The omen ( its the music that scares the crap out of me)
The omen II
The thing
Night of the living dead
Rose Red
Halloween (Not scary but a good way to end the marathon)
Yeah for those of you who dont know the omen I guess the only way it would really scare the crap out of you is if you were christian and read revalations in the bible. Ive am and have done both so a yeah it scared the crap out of me. |
