Just so we don't scare Tom with the girl talk in the So... thread, I thought it would be nice to start a thread dedicated to sharing beauty secrets passed down from female generation to female generation.

Sixx's Beauty Tip #1: Lipgloss has many great uses besides making the lips shiney. It also makes a great blush (depending on what shade you use. I always use a coral or a light pink so thats why it usually works. I'm not so sure about darker shades.) And if you want a very natural It-Looks-Like-I'm-Not-Even-Wearing-Makeup look, then use light shades of lipgloss for eyeliner. Apply it very lightly and make sure to get under the eyebrows too so it brings out the color in your eyes.

Sixx's Beauty Tip #2: Eye makeup is great but it will mean nothing if your eyebrows are not neat and trim. Sorry to say this but it is the truth. Take care of your eyebrows and push them up when you think they are down. Eyebrows that are not pushed up will take all attention away from your eyes and that ruins the purpose of eye shadow and mascarra. So if you haven't gotten your eyebrows done, get them done soon. Just a little tip.

Sixx's Beauty Tip #3: When wearing perfume, spay it on the back of your neck the most. This will make it so that other people will smell your perfume better than if you sprayed it on your chest or under your neck. And Do not spray perfume in your hair. Perfume has oils in it that will make your hair greasy and dirty looking even if you just washed it. So when you put on perfume, always lift up your hair and spray.

Sixx's Beauty Tip #4: Shower! I cannot stress this enough. This goes for the guys too. BO is not appealing and is in no way sexy. Even you don't have time for a shower, grab a damn paper towel, put some dish soap on it and scrub underneath those pits. At least then you will be bearable to be around. Sorry to sound so mad but BO on anyone is a serious pet peeve of mine. There is no excuse for not staying clean. <_<

And thats all I have to offer right now. So c'mon and share your secrets too. We can all help each other that way. Razz

Wow you know alot.

And the eyebrow thing is so true. Exept I don't know what the hairdressers use on your eyebrows to make them harden into place. They always brush it on mine after my painful, monthly waxes.

Also about the lipgloss, is there a specific kind that you use? I could do that to get away with wearing make-up. I'm only aloud some blush, chapstick and lipgloss Sad

My mom is a hair stylist so she's taught me a lot to get by. Razz

About the eyebrows...are they using hairspray? Because thats what I use after I tweeze them (I can't stand getting them waxed.) It works just as good as long as you don't rub your eyes or touch them.

And I tend to use this brand called "Wet n' Wild." You can find for like 99 cents at Wal-Mart and it comes in all kinds of shades. I find it easy to carry one light shade for my face and a dark shade for my lips. And chapstick is my figurative best friend. I walk around in my school a lot so my lips get chapped and gross sometimes so I always carry around this chapstick called Rollergirl. Its very useful as long as you don't mind the aftertaste staying with your for ten minutes after you apply it. But it lasts longer than any other chapstick I know (because its actually a liquid) so its worth the hard candy aftertaste. Razz

Bleah, I always tend to eat my chapstick some how. Especially while I'm chewing gum. I've been sticking with Lip Smackers and it doesn't last very long at all.

Ahhh...to be pretty as Powtaz. Not even I have a beauty tip to reach that kind of perfection.
to be pretty you have to be a millionaire and be able to afford monthly face lifts and nose jobs
Actually you're wrong. To be pretty is not to have the need or desire to change your looks. To be pretty is to have confidense in yourself and how you look. That is why the "popular people" at schools are so popular and considered beautiful. They have an air of confidense that people find attractive and sexy. If you can have that kind of confidense in you and believe that your are beautiful then people will see you as beautiful. Razz

That kind of contradicts with this whole "makeup tips" thread, doesn't it? Uneasy

Don't do heroin.

Don't do meth.

Stick to cocaine, Special K (ketamine), and speed (even out the coke bloat), and you'll be fine.

Razz

Seriously, though, only tips I could give would be to men. And despite Gray's nancy boy title, I don't see him whipping out the eyeliner anytime soon.

EDIT

Yeah, that too. Don't go outside until at least after 8, and that's only if you need to be in traffic to make it to the club by 10. Cool

Hey! Fallen's adding weight loss tips too. Razz Rolling eyes

And it helps if you're a redhead when trying fallen's beauty tip.

Sad Not even once? Just for fun? Oh thats so sad. I had the best tips for him to get that whole Boy George look. Sad
What kind of hair spray are you using then?
Nothing special. Pantene Pro V mostly. But thats only when I'm not on a budget. Otherwise, anything will do. Hair spray is supposed to keep all kinds of hair in place including eyebrow hair. Smile So go with what you're most comfortable with.

Oh. Again wasn't sure what you meant. The only kind of hair spray I use is this children's detangling hair spray. Rolling eyes

I'm pretty sure that actually won't help now depending on your age. As you get older you should definetly get out of using children's products and use brandnames (or store brand.) That way you get ones that can actually shape your hair.

Oh and just a side note, don't use Aquanet. Seriously, if you are going anywhere that could possibly be flamable then don't use that brand. It was very popular in the 80s but it smells really strong and its one step below creating a helmet for your head. Pantene Pro V is really good for shaping hair and stiffening it but still giving it volume and texture. Smile

Yeah, children's products are suckish. I ask for brandnames like bed head, etc, from my parents (I'd buy them myself but I'm broke all the time), but I never get them.
Pantene Pro V sounds good. I've tried the shampoo and it's really nice. But the shampoo I really really like is Garnier Fructis. I wonder if they have a hair spray too.

They have a hair gel thats a spray that works wonders on my bro's hair (and mine too.) Just make sure that if you do use it then only spray it like after you take a shower and you are going to blow dry your hair. Otherwise you'll get that wet-head look on you and for most girls, unless you are in a pool area or a beach, that isn't really sexy.

My favorite shampoo is Herbal Esscense. Use both the shampoo and conditionder. I've tried a lot diffrent brands in the past (Dove, Pantene, etc.) And I've found Herbal to be the best for very thick hair like mine. But its best to use it wisely (in other words, don't go crazy with the conditioner. Just get enough for your scalp and the conditioner will actually go to your tips as your rinse so that way you don't waste it.) Plus it always smells really nice especially that new Rainforest blend. Screw that, I still have much loyalty for AquaNet. It's cheap, and it works. My kinda product.

As for the smell, you can buy unscented. Aqua Net Superhold Unscented, spiffy purple can.

However, I only bother with hairspray if I'm going out and don't want my hair to be flat and matted to my head by the end of the night. And if I bother to do my hair, ain't no one gonna be touching it without a swift smack anyway... Laughing
