New Mascot

The new cat looks like one of the cats from Aristocats.

Also, if there's gonna be multiple characters, shouldn't one person do them all?

To be honest, they all look way too childish. Which is probably what attracts all those falconlobos. As of right now, Funart looks a tad more "professional."

LOLOL FUNART looks more professional? Funart's child-like mascot AND lame layout adds to its dead, ghost-like atmosphere. No one goes on there anymore(EXCEPT...MAYBE Falcon. Maybe.) and it just takes up space. It's basically not there anymore.

We can have one person do all of them, but it's possible for different artists to make different mascots too, because one person might not be able to do well drawing one mascot. For example, if we have a dragon, we can always ask Stratadrake to do it if he wants.

We still need to bring up the poll for the other users to see. We'll add on the mainsite that we're planning on using multiple mascots when we develop new layouts, but at the moment, we want to choose a main one. We're designing a new kind of pherel...

@Edward: 3 & 4 are too animeish and adorable
I like 2 because the eyes look pretty cool.

I don't use the new layout because it messes my profile up and the comments look weird. The older version looks amazing compared to new, and that should say something.

Also, if we want the mascot to not look too childish, we could always go for real cat anatomy style.

I like the idea of a more realistic looking Pheral. I think it would be better to go for a more horizontal pose so the header doesn't take up tons of space.

Denis has just made the mascot look creepier. If that was possible.

Thanks, I though to myself that Row 2 looked too cute. I personally like Number 2 myself as well.

I disagree, This site still revolves around anime and cartoons, the mascot should reflect that. Additionally the current one is more real cat anatomy than it's predicessor and I still feel it went over poorly.

That example looks more like large jungle cat than a house cat, additionally it looks mean and not very inviting.

I like the idea for a new mascot, but I personaly think the mascot should be more anime/cartoon style than real anatomy...
